About The Stanley Theater

For nearly a century, The Stanley has been bringing the community together with live concerts, Broadway shows, musicals, ballets, movies, graduations and recitals. Today The Stanley operates as a not-for-profit organization run by the Central New York Community Arts Council. Originally built as a movie theater, The Stanley opened its doors in 1928 with 2,963 seats, a grand entry staircase that resembles the main staircase on the Titanic, a gold leaf interior and terracotta and tiled mosaic exterior. Designed by renowned architect Thomas Lamb, whose remaining creations include The Stanley Theater, Proctor’s Theater, Schenectady, NY, and The Landmark Theater, Syracuse, NY.

Our Charity Bib Mission

What our charity will do with the donations raised through the Boilermaker Charity Bib Program:

All of the money received through this program will be directed straight to our youth summer program! This program will concentrate on the education and advancement of area students between grades 5 and 12 (incoming 5th graders to outgoing seniors), specifically intended to reinforce and advance basic theater concepts in addition to preparing students for the presentation of full scale musical productions in some cases to be performed on The Stanley Stage. The camps will focus on stage business and movements, theatrical projection, correlation of body and voice, relation of the body to moods and emotions, and the application of these elements to individual and ensemble scene work through theater games and exercises pertaining to those topics, as well as the preparation and production of the performances. This years main camp will build and present SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL on August 10th and 11th!
